The Show
Over 200 pots were submitted to this competition. 99 pots representing 67 artists from 8 countries were selected.
The Juror
Guangzhen "Po" Zhou is a ceramic artist, writer and director of the Chinese Ceramic Art Council. Mr. Zhou received his Master of Arts from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and his Master of Fine Arts degree from San Jose State University, San Jose, California. He is the author of over fifty articles in both Chinese and English. He has been instrumental in the exchange of ideas between the Chinese and American ceramics communities.
Guest Artist-in-Residence
Thanks to generous support from the Associated Students of Saddleback College we are proud to announce that Mr. Xiao Ming Shi, of Yixing, China, will be in residence here at Saddleback college during the Second International Small, Teapot Show. During his stay, Mr. Shi will speak to several art groups and give demonstrations at local universities and colleges.
